Double shaft mixer FB
INSTAMIX is high performance Mixer suitable for almost all solid ingredients, under a wide range of operation conditions.
The main characteristic of this equipment is the double paddle shaft which turns at a moderate speed in opposite direction, having path interference. It is particularly in this path interference area where product weightlessness effect is produced:
Particles flow practically free and a fast mixing effect takes place even when these particles have different form, size or density. Mixing times of 5 to 15 seconds can be achieved, minimizing not desired effects such as abrasion or breakage.
The large product outlet at the mixer bottom allows an almost immediate and complete product unloading.
The mechanical fluid mixing system was conceived to solve critic problems in mixtures with small amounts of minor ingredients that must be distributed among the rest of mayor ingredients which can have different particle size, weight structure and moisture content. This system has been working efficiently in a wide range of applications and different conditions for more than 40 years.

Example I:
Powder mixing installation including liquid addition integrated as part of a continuous production line. With the use of the INSTAMIX equipment, the feeding line can work without any stops, as well as to add liquid ingredients or cool down the product before it's packed.
The installation includes belt conveyors that feed the mixer hoppers. Once the hopper has received the product, unloads on the INSTAMIX equipment, where the tubing takes place, adding liquids or freezing of the product. Immediately afterwards mixing is completed, the mixer unloads the product in the dosing hopper that will feed containers.
Example 2:
Additives addition installation for frozen ingredients in batch mixing operation.
Besides obtaining an homogeneous mix the use ofthe INSTAMIX mixer allows the addition of liquid ingredients, such as sauces and nitrogen injection at the same time, forming a frozen coating outside the food particles.
The installation consists of a belt conveyor that feeds an inlet hopper at the top of the mixer. Inside the mixer additive addition takesplace while mixing. Additives are stored in an external hopper and are injected through special spray nozzles located on top of the mixer. Nitrogen injection takes place on the lower part of the mixer and finally the mixture is discharged in to an outlet hopper and transported by a belt conveyor.
Mixing chamber
In the fluidized upper zone, an homogenous mix is achieved due to the weightlessness effect, eliminating the influence that particle form, size and density of ingredients could have, as well as the components proportion in the total batch.
In the lower part a transport effect is generated allowing ingredients to flow and distribute over the entire mixer, without any interruptions or dead zones.
Both actions are performed without damaging or overheating the product, thanks to the geometry of the paddles, its inclination and the minimum friction with the mixer wall.
Mixer Outlet
The mixer outlets are 'wall to wall opening' design, minimizing mixer unloading time.
Inspection and cleaning doors
Mixer is provided with one or two service doors that allow full access to the mixer inside for cleaning, maintenance and inspection purposes

INSTAMIX is a vematile mixer, that can be equipped optionally, with:
• Intensifiers or choppers, In order to achieve better results In mixtures with liquid addition, avoiding lump formation.
• Spay nozzles for additive and liquid injection, such as vegetal oil, essences, colors, or any other minor ingredient in liquid form.
• Nozzles for gas injection. The typical application is to obtain cryogenic mixtures as well as to mix frozen ingredients and add specific coatings over these frozen particles.
